January housing sales break the 100,000 ceiling! Cambridge Mortgage Broker

Residential housing sales increased by 4.9% between December 2016 and January 2017, breaking the 100,000 barrier.

HMRC figures confirmed a figure of 104,820 being 0.3% above January 2016’s figures. The residential sales figure is the highest since March 2016 when housing sales spiked due to the stamp duty changes that come into force for the 16 17 tax year.
