Mark has been a Financial Adviser since 1991, establishing himself in the industry as an independent adviser at the beginning of the millennium, offering mortgage, insurance, investment and pensions advice. With his dedication to customer service and industry knowledge, Turney & Associates grew from those beginnings. Mark has particular expertise in Commercial and Buy-to-Let mortgages, residential finance and equity release.
Highly qualified and bringing a wealth of knowledge, Mark likes to help people and gets great satisfaction assisting clients to achieve their goals.
A qualified pilot, Mark enjoys skiing and cycling and often visits his more local clients on his bike!
Sarah Turney
Company Secretary & General Manager
Sarah joined the company shortly after it’s inception in 2000. She is the Company Secretary and General Manager and is also responsible for all the firm’s Accounts, Payroll and Human Resources functions.
Sarah enjoys keeping the office running smoothly and in a particular appreciates opportunities for customer contact especially with many of our older clients who have been with us for years and ask for her personally.
In her spare time, Sarah adores the theatre, good food and fine wine and occasionally, scuba diving.
Our Mortgage Administrators
If you take out a mortgage with us, one of our Administrators will be assigned to support you and ensure that all the various related administrative tasks are completed efficiently.
Jessica Allen
Jessica started at Turney & Associates as a part-time Receptionist / Administrator in July 2017. Her vast experience in administration and the retail industry is considered a great asset to our team.
In her spare time, Jessica regularly visits the gym and enjoys swimming, badminton, music, reading and socialising with friends.
Nicky Sadler
Nicky began began working at Turney & Associates in September 2020 as a full-time Administrator.
Zoe Young
Zoe began began working at Turney & Associates in March 2021 as a full-time Administrator.
Elaine Hurford

Elaine began began working at Turney & Associates in March 2021 as a full-time Administrator, having previously worked for a high street building society as a branch manager, which included the full range of mortgage administration from initial interview to completion, which she is finding very beneficial to her new role.
She lives in Essex, and in addition to working full-time she also volunteers with two different organisations. In what little spare time she has left, she likes to socialise with friends & family, watch sports, and grow her own vegetables.
Our Trainee Mortgage Adviser
Evie Potter (currently on maternity leave)
Evie started working at Turney & Associates as a full-time Administrator in December 2017. Prior to that she worked in the insurance industry and for a personal injury law firm. Her experience in both legal & insurance work has proved very useful in dealing with the range of clients at the company.
She lives in Cambridge with her husband and new baby son. She enjoys cycling & walking, baking and socialising with family & friends.
Evie has an NVQ Level 2 in business administration, and is currently studying towards the CeMAP qualification.
Our Compliance Officer
In general, compliance means confirming to a rule or rules, such as a specification, policy, standard or law. We are governed by the regulations laid down by the Financial Conduct Authority and we have to be vigilant about maintaining a full understanding of their regulatory compliance requirements.
Liz Blake
ALIBF, APCIP, BA(Hon) Psychology, BSc(Hon) Geosciences, MSc Applied Forensic Psychology, LRPS
Liz started working at Turney & Associates as our Compliance Officer in May 2018, having previously spent over 30 years with a major high street bank, the last eighteen in their fraud investigation department, which included conducting complex compliance investigations. She came to the company with a wealth of relevant experience which is proving very beneficial to us all.
Liz lives in a semi-rural location just over the border in Suffolk with her cats. In her spare time she is a keen amateur photographer, enjoys singing in a local choir, going to the theatre, growing her own vegetables and entertaining friends and family at home.
