The National Skills Academy for Financial Services is an employer-led charity working with the UK Financial Services Industry.
The mission of the Skills Academy is:
- To help people, particularly from disadvantaged communities, to secure employment in the financial services sector.
- To contribute to the improvement of the diversity of the workforce in the financial services sector.
- To support skills development in the financial services sector.
- To improve the financial capability of the wider UK population.
The Skills Academy is a signatory to the Women in Finance Charter. Our gender diversity target is 50% for women in senior management by December 2019. The definition of senior management is Head of Service and above.
The Skills Academy supports SAFERjobs, a non-profit, joint industry and law enforcement organisation working to combat job scams. Participants on the Skills Academy’s employability programmes are encouraged to use its resources. The Skills Academy is a member of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations as it champions and supports the work of charities such as the Skills Academy.
