It remains very desirable for a property to be located in a good neighbourhood with low crime rates, with good proximity to shops, GP & dental surgeries, pubs, schools and recreation facilities. This has been the case for decades of house-hunters.
However 2017 when looking properties to purchase, super-fast broadband, clear mobile phone signals, satellite TV signal, as well as good transport connections are considered more desirable than that of decades of house-hunters before.
A survey conducted by GoCompare Insurance found 2/3’s of homebuyers prioritised a good area or neighbourhood, while 43% said a good, reliable broadband connection was a top priority when property hunting.
