The National Skills Academy for Financial Services is an employer-led charity working with the UK Financial Services Industry.

The mission of the Skills Academy is:

  • To help people, particularly from disadvantaged communities, to secure employment in the financial services sector.
  • To contribute to the improvement of the diversity of the workforce in the financial services sector.
  • To support skills development in the financial services sector.
  • To improve the financial capability of the wider UK population.

The Skills Academy is a signatory to the Women in Finance Charter. Our gender diversity target is 50% for women in senior management by December 2019. The definition of senior management is Head of Service and above.

The Skills Academy supports SAFERjobs, a non-profit, joint industry and law enforcement organisation working to combat job scams. Participants on the Skills Academy’s employability programmes are encouraged to use its resources. Visit the SAFERjobs website for information on common scams and to get free, expert advice for a safer job search.

The Skills Academy is a member of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations as it champions and supports the work of charities such as the Skills Academy.
